Well… I turned 30 recently.  :-)  And this year was different from any other.  For the first time, I was able to sit in the awareness of my own Presence, and give thanks to God for my Soul.  Sure, there was so much else to thank God for.  The beautiful scene my eyes were gazing at.  Beautiful friends and family.  The “me” that I think I am… which is just comprised of all the things “about me”.  But not really me.  :-)  And so many other things that give me comfort in Life.  The “stuff of life”  But all these things constantly change.  They come and they go… and in between they change.  It is only the Soul that is eternal.  And all the inherent qualities of the Soul … Peace, Purity, Love, Joy, Power …  this is who we really are.  This is what never truly changes.  I thank God for being able to slowly but surely shift my awareness to the real truth about Life.  And the more I focus on it, the more it takes over my experience, and the other things continue to fall away.  So on the morning of my birthday I declared … “Now this is a Life I can Live.”  :-)  And finally I can honestly say “Thank you. Thank you God for my Soul.”
